If you have a framework to acquire 1 customer and maximize the chances of their success with your company over and over again you can scale that to MILLIONS of users/customers. If you have a great product scale (usually) comes much more easily and organically. If you have a poor product and good marketing, you may gain traction with customers but the reality is that traction will be short lived.
